Kenilworth Rovers u15 v Rainham Eagles         03/01/10

Eagles started this derby the stronger by throwing everything at Kenilworth and were rewarded with a goal on 2 minutes, a goalkeeping error and some poor defending saw Eagles take a well deserved 3-0 lead on 15 minutes.

 Kenilworth attacked well but found Eagles keeper in good form until Luke Mitchell scored on his debut to pull one back, this was short lived when Eagles regained there three goal lead just before the break to go in 4-1 up.

 An inspirational team talk at half time lifted Kenilworth and within 15 minutes Jack Thomas had smash a wonderful hat-trick to make it 4-4, A tactical change saw Ryan Merritt come off the bench to finish a great Kenilworth move at the back post, 5-4.

 On 30 minutes Kenilworth put together some great passing for Jack Thomas to score his forth and Kenilworth were 6-4 ahead. With 5 minutes to go and the snow falling Eagles pulled one back to make it 6-5 and a very nervy finish but Kenilworth held on for the win.
